Privacy Policy

Stored on your device

Dewmint Money stores your accounts, transactions, categories, and settings in the app's private storage on this device. Dewmint Money does not send your financial records to a Dewmint server, and its core features work offline. Data leaves the device only when you choose a feature that requires it, such as cloud backup.

Optional cloud backup and restore

If you use Backup & Restore, Dewmint Money creates a complete copy of its app database, including your accounts, transactions, categories, debts, budgets, and app settings. On iOS, the backup is sent directly to your app-private iCloud storage. On Android, the backup is sent directly to Dewmint Money's private application-data folder in the Google Drive account you authorize. Dewmint does not receive or keep a copy of the backup. Device-only security material, such as app-lock credentials, is not included in the backup.

On Android, Dewmint Money requests the Google Drive drive.appdata permission only when you choose Google Drive backup. This permission allows the app to create, replace, and read its own hidden backup file. It does not allow Dewmint Money to view or modify your other Google Drive files. Dewmint Money does not store or log the Google account identity returned during authorization.

Manual backup replaces the previous Dewmint Money backup. If you enable automatic backup, the app may replace that backup on the schedule you select. Restore reads that backup and, after validation, replaces the app database on the device. Cloud-provider availability, retention, deletion, and account access are governed by your provider and account settings. Removing Dewmint Money from a device may not remove a backup already stored by your cloud provider.

Apple or Google protects backup data in transit and at rest under its own security practices. Dewmint Money does not add password encryption to the backup. You are responsible for protecting your Apple or Google account against unauthorized access.

Dewmint Money uses information received from Google APIs only to provide the backup and restore features you request. It does not sell, share, transfer, advertise with, or use that information for analytics, credit decisions, or training artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models. Its use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

No behavioral analytics, personal-data collection, or ads

Dewmint Money does not ask you to create an account and does not collect names, email addresses, account profiles, or other information that directly identifies you. The app shows no advertising and does not use behavioral analytics. It does not record or transmit the screens you view, buttons you tap, searches you make, or how you use the app.

Purchases

When purchase features are configured, RevenueCat and the Apple App Store or Google Play process purchase status, a randomly generated app user ID, and technical request data needed to unlock or restore Dewmint Money Pro. Dewmint Money does not provide RevenueCat with a name, email address, or account profile, and does not send it accounts, transactions, categories, notes, or exports.

The Analytics purpose shown in the App Store privacy label refers only to RevenueCat's aggregate reporting about purchase and entitlement events. It does not refer to behavioral analytics or the way you use Dewmint Money.

Purchase providers process this limited information under their own policies. You can review the RevenueCat Privacy Policy, Apple Privacy Policy, and Google Privacy Policy.

Operating-system backups and exports

Your device operating system may copy app data through device backups or migrations that you control. Screenshots, any exports you create, and access to an unlocked device are outside Dewmint Money's control. Backup and migration data is handled by your device platform according to your settings and the platform provider's policies.

Retention and deletion

Financial records remain in the app's private storage for as long as you keep them there. You can remove individual records using the app's controls. Uninstalling the app removes its local data from the device, subject to any cloud backup, operating-system backup, or migration copy you chose to create.

Dewmint does not hold a server-side copy of your financial records and therefore cannot retrieve or delete those records for you. Cloud backups remain subject to your Apple or Google account and provider controls until they are replaced or deleted. Revoking Dewmint Money's Google access prevents future access but may not by itself delete an existing backup. Purchase providers retain transaction and technical information according to their legal obligations and their own retention policies.

Security

Dewmint Money uses the private application storage provided by your device operating system. You are responsible for protecting access to your device, maintaining its security updates, and choosing whether to enable cloud or operating-system backups. Backup files do not have additional password encryption supplied by Dewmint Money.

Support communications

If you contact Dewmint by email, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it only to respond to your request, maintain the security and reliability of the app, and meet legal obligations. Please do not include financial records, passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information in a support message.

Support correspondence is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request and maintain an appropriate support record, unless a longer period is required by law. You may ask us to delete a support conversation by emailing the address below, subject to any information we must retain for legal or security reasons.

Children's privacy

Dewmint Money is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not operate Dewmint user accounts or receive financial records on a Dewmint server, Dewmint cannot identify the age of a person using a device.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change as Dewmint Money develops. Material changes will be presented in the app or its store listing.
